About 

Sean O’Connell Studio is a business focused on creating unique handmade objects for use and beauty. The work available ranges between functional pottery, sculptural ceramics, hand-carved wooden utensils, natural animal-hair brushes for painting and calligraphy, as well as one-of-a-kind paintings and works on paper.

Sean began his artistic career as a silversmith’s apprentice at the age of 14. This was the start of a career working as an artist. After completing his bachelors and masters degrees in fine arts, Sean spent several years working in educational institutions and arts administration roles while maintaining a studio practice making pottery.

Sean works from his home studio in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina.
