Solo Exhibition at the Clay Art Center, Port Chester, NY, 2011
This exhibition first began as an idea several years ago when I first read Wallace Steven's poem, "The Anecdote of the Jar". It suggested to me the power of influences. Specifically the passive ways in which we are effected by nature, how we effect nature in return.
The pots in this exhibition reflect a pastoral relationship more than an adversarial one and in doing so invite the partnership of utility.
